The trio played on an outside stage overlooking the Pacific ocean, mesmerizing conference attendees at the Montage Hotel. The global intent of Pacifika comes naturally, as the core trio hails from Barbados and Canada, with a Peruvian lead vocalist who is comfortable singing in Spanish, French and English. Their album Asunción was awarded Album of the Year by NPR, and Supermagique was the iTunes World Album of the Year. Pacifika was booked for the conference by Broken Arrow.
The annual conference is hosted by the WSJ's senior editors, and "brings together an unmatched group of top CEOs, inspirational founders, game-changing pioneers, investors and luminaries to explore the most exciting tech opportunities emerging around the world". This group included the CEOs of Apple, Salesforce, Sony, IBM, HBO, Zappos, Uber, CBS, and many others. The event was produced by e2k events x entertainment.
